Senior Building Services Adviser - HIA
HIA is seeking to fill the key role of Senior Building Services Advisor in its NSW regional office at Ryde.

The Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body, representing over 40,000 members nationwide. Its primary role is to represent and advance the interests of its members. HIA employs over 300 professional staff nationwide and is currently seeking to fill the key role of Senior Building Services Advisor in its NSW regional office at Ryde.

As a Building Services Adviser, your primary objective is to provide technical advice to members on issues relating primarily to residential development and construction technology. Other duties include the delivery of training material, assisting with the preparation of information for publication, providing administrative and technical support to the NSW Technical Committee and other committee’s as required and working directly with members to solve their technical issues.

The successful applicant must have a sound knowledge and understanding of NSW building regulations, the Building Code of Australia and referenced Australian Standards and of building materials and construction. A demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a team environment, prioritise work loads and communicate effectively are all pre-requisites. OH&S knowledge within the residential construction industry will also been seen as advantageous.
